We at Tobacco Product Plastic Filter Group, CLG respect your right to privacy and treat any personal data which you submit to this Site or to us as an organisation in accordance with our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts.  The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to outline how we deal with any personal data you provide to us, this includes through our website www.tppfg.ie and any webpages containing these domain names (our “Site”), via email, in person (for example at an event) or through publicly available information.

References to “we”, “us” or “TPPFG” are to Tobacco Product Plastic Filter Group, CLG, a company limited by guarantee with a registered address at 5, Pembroke Row, Dublin D02 PW61.
References to “you” or “your” shall refer to the users of our Site, those that interact with us via social media, or those we hold personal or non-personal data of.

Our Company collects the following data:

Method of collection and how we will use your data

We will process any Personal Data you provide to us for the following purposes:

  • Personal data sent to us via our membership form.

If you send us an email using our Contact Us page, we will hold the personal data contained in this correspondence for the purposes of responding to your email.  We will hold this data on the basis of regulation in operating as the compliance scheme for the sector. If you are contacting us a Producer or Agent, the ‘Personal data provided as part of a Producer membership application’ applies.

You may submit personal data to us as part of an application for membership of the TPPFG scheme. We hold this data on the basis of compliance with legal obligations and will hold the data for as long as we have approval to operate as the compliance scheme for the sector. As per our legal obligations, we may share this data with the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications, the Environmental Protection Agency, local authorities, and any other organisation as required to maintain compliance with the requirements as set out in S.I. No. 609 of 2022 European Union (Extended Producer Responsibility) (Tobacco Filter Containing Plastic) Regulations 2022.

Disclosure of information to third parties:

We may provide Data to third parties, where such information is combined with similar information of other users of our Site.  For example, we might inform third parties regarding the number of unique users who visit our Site, the demographic breakdown of our community users of our Site, or the activities that visitors to our Site engage in while on our Site.  The third parties to whom we may provide this information may include Government Departments, commercial partners, researchers and other similar parties.

We may disclose your Personal Data to third parties where you have consented to such disclosure or if we believe in good faith that we are required to disclose it in order to comply with any applicable law, a summons, a search warrant, a court or regulatory order, or other statutory requirement.

International Transfers

In some circumstances, it may be necessary for us to process or transfer your Personal Data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.  We comply with applicable data protection law when doing so, such as by ensuring that the country or territory where your Personal Data will be processed is deemed by the European Commission to have an adequate level of protection for personal data or under other transfer arrangements such as SCC (Standard Contractual Clauses)
